United Economy Plus Seat passenger reviews

review one

I've had the good fortune to have used the premium economy seat on various flights across the US & Pacific. The seat is comfortable, has satisfactory recline and you have the added benefit of up to 36" pitch depending on the aircraft flown.

You also recieve a blocked seat if the cabin space is available, making it much easier to move about when it's just 2 people seated in the row. If you're into PTV's then you're out of luck on the 747-400, if you can get by without them on a longhaul then this seat is really worth a try

I'm 6'5" tall and found the extra 5" a godsend on a 14 hour flight.

Yeah the seats are narrow but you could get lucky and score a seat block to creat more space ...just lift the armrest up and bingo...doublewide action.

United are pretty good to deal with and I actually prefer them as trans-pacific carrier to my native Qantas Airways. Qantas have really let themselves go of late and I get much better service with United

It seems that economy plus seats have no additional recline compared with economy seats. In fact, they seem to be identical to economy seats. The only benefit is enhanced legroom. Yes, it's nice to fly without your legs being crunched by the seat in front, but that's the only benefit, the seat itself is as miserably uncomfortable as all the others
